Maryland Pharmacists Must Complete New Structural Racism Training Requirement

Maryland pharmacists and other licensed health professionals now have a new licensure renewal requirement to complete a one-time structural racism training program.

Effective April 1, 2026, all applicants renewing a Maryland health occupation license or certificate must attest that they have completed approved structural racism training. This requirement is separate from the state’s existing implicit bias training mandate, though practitioners who have already completed implicit bias training for a previous renewal do not need to repeat it.
